Virginia Paving Company, a division of the Lane Construction Corporation, has a long history of making donations to charities and non-profit organizations. Because of the numerous requests we receive, the following guidelines have been developed. While so many causes are deserving of our assistance, we unfortunately can not help every organization.

Virginia Paving places a high priority on supporting community-focused and educational organizations and charities throughout Northern Virginia, the Stafford County/Fredericksburg area and Norfolk.

The following guidelines assure fairness. All requests must be made in writing on organization letterhead and mailed or faxed to:

Requests must be made two (2) months prior to the event date. Requests must include the information outlined below and failure to include this information will result in denial. Additionally, donations will not be made to P.O. Boxes. Virginia Paving will process only one request from your organization per year. E-mailed requests are not accepted. Please anticipate four (4) weeks to receive a response to your request.

·  Name, location and date of the event

·  Programs that will benefit from the event (e.g., children services, veterans, school children, etc.)

·  Cash donation being sought (if applicable)

·  Non-cash donation being sought (e.g., traffic control, lights, sweeper, sand, etc.)

·  Contact name, title, telephone number and e-mail address

·  Organization’s non-profit tax identification number and address

·  Print ad dimensions for brochures and programs, ad color, and submission deadline (if applicable)
